It's Time for an Afternoon Tea Party!

I've always wanted to go to a tea party so when the opportunity for Samantha came along to join a doll tea party I immediately said yes. Pottery Barn Kids was hosting a special tea-time benefiting the St Jude Children's Research Hospital. For $5 donation kids enjoyed refreshments, stories, and crafting with a special doll or teddy bear. Samantha decided that she will bring "Big Brother", a teddy bear she got from her A-i (Auntie Sharon, my sister) when she was born to this special event. She also went with  Kalen with her doll Rapunzel and  Carmina with Cinderella.
While waiting for all the kids to come the girls were given some coloring materials to get their hands busy.
R-L: Kalen, Samantha, Carmina
The girls were then given headbands, cupcake cups and some art paper for their retro inspired headpiece.
Sam picked green as her color for the afternoon.
Ta-da! The end product thanks to Pottery Barn Kids.
It's time for some lemonade juice and some cookies for the busy girls.
Then it was story time. The story for the afternoon was a book called Pinkalicious.
They were listening very attentively to the story while wearing their cute headpieces.
The girls at the end took a group picture with their dolls.
And of course the mommies gets a picture too!
Thank you for my husband, Steve, for taking these awesome shots of Samantha's first afternoon tea party.

To friendships and to more tea parties to come!
